about me:

I am a London based multi-disciplinary artist from Bath, UK.
I studied at Central Saint Martins, doing a Fine Art BA in the 3D pathway, with an additional
diploma year at the Creative Computing Institute, developing an understanding of the intersection between art and technology.
I make artworks to understand the environment of the ocean and how we are harming it. It is important in my work to bring visibility to environments usually unseen by humans, the deep depths of the ocean, where in hydrothermal vents it is believed that life started. I digitally mimic deep sea creatures, sculpting their forms and animating their movement, then work through how they can physically re-exist, such as by projecting them into and onto spaces. This relationship between technology and nature is questioned, as the technology I am using to understand the complexities of nature is also damaging the environment. In my work, I question if I am part of a human condition feeding on discovery and what is ethical?
My work is a call to slow down and truly observe the world around us. It aims to challenge us to look beyond immediate actions and consider the long-term effects of our behaviour on the environment. By bringing hidden ecosystems into the light and creating spaces for contemplation and conversation, I hope to inspire a deeper connection with nature and a collective commitment to its preservation. Through my art, I invite others to join this ongoing dialogue, to listen, to act, and to become part of the ripple effect that leads to meaningful change.
