Is that the tube?

We dismiss these little details about our everyday life so quickly, small scratches on the signs, the curve of the wall, 
the way the person opposite you holds their bag. We spend so much time in this metal box traveling from station to 
station without seeing what surrounds us. Painting is a way for me to dissect these little details, scientifically 
examining every surface and texture and person, giving my time and energy on the unnoticed and ignored. 

I like to make these details somehow pleasing to the eye, not for a particular reason and not to glamorise the tube
 in any way, but to find the beauty in the ignored. 
Every painting I do the colours always alter to greens and dark blues with pink highlights, sometimes on purpose 
sometimes not. When I start a painting I intend to use the original colours, but the dislike for blending yellows and
 browns and orange etc always seeps through.
